Dear All,
It seems some Joomla users are switching to Drupal...
I thought they have somewhat different focus --Drupal for blogging/discussions
and Joomla for wiki/KB building; when I decided to install both for my Ubuntu 8
server and eventual portal site for both internal collaboration and external dissemination.
Can one do both satisfactorily?
Anyway, not having much hands-on experience with open source software, I
am having a few problems:
1. I'm also new at Ubuntu, I have not been able to get either Drupal, nor Joomla
to send activation email out of my locally hosted server. Although I had
installed postfix, smtpd, mailagent,...at different times.
2. It seems Drupal and Joomla refuse to exist on the same machine. After installing
the second, the first would not be able to run due to blocked connection with MySQL.
Can someone help me out ?
