I am in the process of upgrading from D5 to D6, All worked well in D5 but now in D6 I am noticing that I am not getting any re-direction of links. Selecting a link which would normally take me to "node/1234" takes me to "node/1234" and not the URL alias "mypath"

Placing the cursor over the "View" tab when on "node/1234" reveals "mypath"

Further info.

It seems that menu entries are using their URL alias but, links from within a node or homemade block, do not.

Turning off Global Redirect does not change the situation, so it would appear something else is the cause

I just upgraded to the dev version, for another reason and the issue now appears fixed, so it may have been Global Redirect after all
