Avatar selection was working fine up until recently. When you select an avatar on the register page it just doesn't 'take' and nothing is written to the database. However, when you set it as in the user settings it works fine. I'm completely unable to understand why this is. You can try here (tinyurl'd to protect from googling)

I can't reproduce this issue, either on my site or yours. I had to create an account on your site to test - I'd appreciate it if you could remove it.

Hi stella, thanks for looking in to it. I'm very sorry, I should have kept the issue up to date. In the end I resorted to installing and uninstalling the modules concerned several times and it seemed to fix itself, I'm not entirely sure why though.
