No fields show on MyAccount Alter screen

The only thing that appears is:
Uncheck any field which you would like to hide from the my account page.
Followed by the two buttons: Save Configuration and Reset to Defaults

If the profile fields are empty for the current user then they will not show up on the My Account Alter form.
