I just installed 6.6 on win2003/iis, and it's all looking good. But when go to Modules, and check Forum to be enabled, the page reloads [without an error message] and whatever module I checked is unchecked again.

I am not sure why this is happening. Any idea what is going on here? Is it a permission issue?

I figured out the issue. I had installed the script to use clean urls with iis (http://drupal.org/node/3854). Once I undid these changes all worked fine again. I'll have to find a different/better way to enable the mod_rewrite in IIS. The above script only works with iis5 and not 6.

I unchecked the clean urls then I could enable/disable modules. Anyone know of a fix or will the same settings.php mentioned in the previous link work?

Just tried pasting it in to the settings but no joy.

I have the same problem on D7.4, but with only one out of three sites on a multi-site installation. I'm using Apache under Ubuntu.
