First of all also I want to mention that I like this module very much. I like the node approach, in contrast to panels. And it's much easier and light weight.
However, I want to use this module on a website with multiple 'builders'. Different users can create pages in different parts of the website. I can restrict the nodes they can add to the zones by using a view, but that keeps me with the blocks. Now they can add blocks, but I don't want them to have the possibility to add any block they like. The first thing I'd like to see is some permission subdividing. Now there is on the permission page: "edit composite layouts". It would be nice to have: "Add nodes to zones", "Add blocks to zones" and "Add fields to zones" (if enabled) options.
I think views can't create a list of blocks users may use. And it's maybe to much to ask to make a per role option for available blocks.

bengtan commentedHi,
Sorry for the late reply.
I can understand your reasoning, and it should be relatively straightforward, but I don't think I have the spare capacity to do this anytime soon or at all. If it's really important for your site, you could get someone to contribute a patch and I'll consider it or something.

Very much like the module. I might be able to look a bit into this, though I'm not at all sure my php knowledge is sufficient.
Before doing anything, though, I'd like to hear if you ever came up with a solution?
