I have much things in Drupal till now so maybe I am having a bug couse I cant find a way to assign a field to a group i have created.
much more, i have give the "tab" order to the group field in the manage field as well in the display field.

there was a same issue here - http://drupal.org/node/308818 which have closen with no unswer. someone said draging the fields under the group field - not working!

I have been figure it up.
you need to drag the field under the group and then take the drag a bit to the right.
