This is such a great idea for a module that I had to try it. Unfortunately, it causes endless redirects when logging in with a new account.
At first I thought the custom rules in my .htaccess file were the problem. They weren't, so I also looked at the 'profilesetup/' path in workers.inc. Not sure what the problem is, but it seems that $category[$_SESSION['profile_setup']['step']] isn't returning anything.

Please disregard the patch. I forgot to remove it.

Hi,
I cannot recreate this, what settings do you have at yoursite.com/admin/user/profilesetup, it might only happen with certain settings.
Also you could try the 5.x-2.x-dev version and see if it happens there, i couldn't recreate this issue on either version.
