so this is really annoying - and maybe i am missing something really obvious, but here's the deal:

i've got a content type 'provider' with category 'retail' - uses location to show a block on individual page with a gmap taxonomy custom marker enabled - and it *works* perfectly! (screenshot attached for 'correcticon')

however, in the 'views' for a large gmap of *all* providers (the node i've made at location/providers), it appears that because the 'gmap location' does not allow for a user to select 'none' (forces one to pick some available marker for the location enabled content type), then the gmap shows the marker for the content type and not for the actual taxonomy term

end result is that block on the page works great - but in second screenshot (viewsmapofall.png), you can see that within the view itself (larger main map), it is overriding the taxonomy term marker with the main 'content type' marker that i had to select earlier via gmap location module (the big pin is what i chose)

is there some way to change the view to say it's using the 'content type' marker (versus 'individual marker' which is the other option) and let it somehow pick up the actual taxonomy marker and set that to override? i'm at a loss...please advise!

ooops, it's a dupe: http://drupal.org/node/205944

...i do NOT see a "gmap taxonomy: marker" as an optional field in views - is something changed since last spring when this rolled out?
