Description

Well I am amazed at how well things have worked after my testing on a local wamp server. No real errors/bugs yet with ubercart marketplace.

I am wanting to create a marketplace for digital files, the concepts of SKU and the tickbox button called "Product and its derivatives are shippable" don't apply for digital products.

  • I found a link to a method to create/hide automatic SKUs http://www.ubercart.org/contrib/4307 but I am if this will require additional coding for marketplace's product class.
  • However I have not found any area in ubercart or marketplace to hide the tickbox button called "Product and its derivatives are shippable".
  • Well I'll keep posting what I find and try and donate as I go as I continue to learn how to theme drupal, all the best!!

The module you have found for auto sku is the best solution I am aware of.

I don't believe there is any simple way to remove the shippable checkbox outside a small custom programming snippet. I will post the outline for such a snippet a bit later, but doing such requires some knowledge on creating a custom module.

Thanks for your interest in Marketplace.

Thankyou for your thoughts.. yes I wouldn't know where to begin on how to remove the shippable checkbox.

As my project matures, I am hoping the exchange rate between our countries gets better for donations :)

Title:Digital Products» Seller Uploaded Digital Products not visible to him/her in Selling Products Listing and Edit Product Page

When a seller uploads a digital file using "commit to product feature", the file is commited to product and ready for download with a buyer. But, the seller himself/herslef, can not see what file he/she uploaded in case he want to replace it with another one.

Ideally, all uploaded digital files should be available to the seller for manipulation.
The product edit page will show the image that is associated with the product. That is good. Same should be happening with the download file associated with the product.

    Any solution to this problem?

This is a common request. The next version of Marketplace (release TBA) will support this. At the moment, no quick solution is available. I will consult with a community member who has done something similar to this when I get time to see how this can work.
