Shall we change the project title of this module to "Affiliates" instead of "SpreadFirefox Affiliates" as this gives the impression that the module is tailored to a specific site instead of a generic module that can/will be able to host a wide
range of affiliate programs

@ Note to project maintainer

I have contacted the project maintainer of the "Affiliate" module and asked if he would consider retiring this module in favour of our "Affiliates" module so that we can focus our efforts on making this module the affiliate module.

Yes. We can remove the SpreadFireFox from the title. I did it already.

I am not keen on renaming the module's short name (affiliates -> affiliate), since we will lose CVS history, cause confusion for users when they upgrade, ...etc.

If the maintainer of the other module agrees to retiring the module, then we can place a note on that project's page that this is obsolete, and point to our project. Then those who want, can write a migration script from the other one to this one.
