URL Anchors for Tabs

Issue Summary

I'm using jstools tabs along with panels to produce some pages on our site. When you click on a tab, you get URLs like:

www.mysite.com/#tab-subjects-tabname-1
www.mysite.com/#tab-subjects-tabname-2

Is there a way to have custom anchor names like
www.mysite.com/#databases
www.mysite.com/#websites
etc.

I asked this question to the panels developers and they said the ability needs to be available in jstools. If it's not possible now, will an update be available in the future?
