Customising what's displayed in the block

Issue Summary

Have just installed this and it looks great, but I was wondering how to go about customising what appears in the block.

I'm displaying the block in the content section of my homepage, so rather than being a small block in a sidebar it's much wider. What I'd like to do is to have the days remaining and the details of whether volunteers are needed (which I've renamed to "Spaces available") on the same line.

Also, is it possible to have a "Register now" link on that view of the block, the way there is on the view that just shows events with spaces?
