i have installed browscap and mobile theme and tested it with various devices. It works great using mobile devices and switches the theme seamlessly, but i my iphone 3g still gets the default theme. i also tried an online iphone simulator.
browsecap is detecting the iphone as: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_2 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5G77 Safari/525.20.
any idea how to fix this?

Alright, my issue was that cron.php wasn't running properly. My site works fine on the iPhone 3G.
