No date for me either
Just bumping this as I'm having the same problem with the standard blog module. Is this a feature that just isn't there, do I need to upgrade (currently running the 4.7.0 version since it was the standard install from my provider) or is there a setting I haven't found?

Date display in blog entries can apparently be turned on in Administer -Themes - Configure - Global Settings.
