HI, I love this module and Drupal generally, although as a small nonprofit of nontechhies we're on a steep learning curve.

Our web developer installed 6.x-1.0-beta8 version for our new website (first on Drupal with Civi integration)

Here's my biblio import issue: When I’m importing to biblio using RIS format (file was an export from RefWorks) the abstracts are not being
imported. I've attached the import file.

And, I have a couple records with titles that has an apostrophe in them.. and that apostrophe seems to truncate the import for that record.

Is there anywhere in the support docs for Biblio or offsite that defines the Tags for the acceptable imp/exp formats as they are used in Biblio?

Thanks,
Jim

Hi Jim,

First let me start by saying, beta-8 has a few rather nasty bugs, so I wouldn't invest to much time with it (there should be a new release in a mater of days).

I tried your file and indeed there are some issues which I will look into and resolve. In general I try to follow the format specs at http://www.risinc.com/support/risformat_intro.asp, however there seem to be minor variations with files exported from different software packages... Here http://www.risinc.com/support/risformat_tags_03.asp is says that "N2 - " should be the abstract (which is what I'm looking for) but RefWorks seems to be using "AB - "

Many Thanks Ron! I'll let our developer know and check out the RIS tagging... Awaiting the new release!

If you convert the file to UTF-8 format the apostrophe doesn't cause any problem. I'll check to see if there is any way around that at the time of import.

Ron.
