Cert Logon Only Works with When the User is Already Logged On with an Id/Password

Hi - very nice script but I think I have an issue.

I can get everything to work fine with certificate logon IF the user is already logged on with another account using an id/password. The script will read the cert, find the email address, and depending on the configuration, create new accounts and automatically logon.

However, this only works when the user is logged on with another account BEFORE using the cert.

When I log out and start as an anonymous user, I go to the cert logon page, click logon and nothing happens. I don't get an error message or warning - nothing. I looked at the code but couldn't figure it out myself. I will continue to try but wanted to raise it as an issue.

I tried changing permissions on the site as well to see if that was the root cause, but nothing I changed had an impact.
