Hi

This is an excellent module, thank-you very much, I'm planning on using it to create the front page for my web-site. Could you tell me please which browsers it is compatible with? I've run it with Firefox 3 and IE7 and it looks good but I am wondering about IE6 etc.

cheers
Pauline

Hi,

As a general rule, the CSS technique that Composite Layout uses is cross-browser compatible.

Composite Layout works on IE6 in the sense that the columns are laid out. However, if it's important you'd probably still like to check the results yourself using IE6. For example, IE6 spacing might vary from other browsers and not look like what you want (without necessarily breaking the layout).

Or if you include an image which is just a little bit too large for a column, IE6 may break the layout. I can't test things like this because it depends on the specifics of the content.

Does that help?

Yes, that is what I was wanting to know thanks. I am going to have to test my site across multiple browsers but it is helpful if the individual modules state which browsers they should work for up front to save time discovering major problems later. I haven't had to do any cross browser compatibility work before and it sounds like IE6 might be a bit of a pain.
