I saw this post http://drupal.org/node/15578. Sounds confusing, somebody said worked for 6.x, somebody said no. Someone even hacked core to get 6.x to work.

I tried the mod at

http://drupal.org/node/15578#comment-938435

and it worked for me once I had set the module weights. I'll attach a zip of what I'm using, it's based on the original sharedmail module in the thread, rather than the official release.

I haven't thoroughly tested it at all, I didn't need to use it in the end, but it seemed to work.

Thanks, I will have a look at this this weekend.

Drupal 6 version is released, it doesn't allow a person to share the administrator (uid 1) email.

I just tried this module in version 6.6 and had some problems with it.

Yes, it allowed me to create two users with the same email address, but no more could be created since the module is storing the modified email address "sharedemail_" as the email address.

Hi Ken

I tested this module in drupal 6 and checked the database, the email is not being stored with sharedemail_.

Please make sure, that you have obtained the most recent version.

Thanks
