Having problem with imageAPI.My php doesnt support my ImageAPI

Im having problem to use IMAGE API in drupal.i cant click on d module.the IMAGEIP require php 5.2.mine is 5.1 version? Is there any way to enable the imageAPI so i can use the simplegallery module.I want to do the something like image lightbox.
