OK, I admit it: I am a COMPLETE drupal beginner, newbie ... whatever you wanna call it! LOL I'm also a newbie at web publishing and want to know how to:
* VERY EASILY add pages to my drupal-powered subdomain, informa.meetuon.com.
* Add pictures to replace the 'arrow' in the background.
* Add Google AdSense ads and banners to my pages.
* Generally, how to access the HTML/PHP code to my site, and quickly add dynamic elements to my pages.
* how to remove my user name from my blog (eg. call it 'informa blog' or something like that)
* copy and paste HTML code, so that I can use Audioblogger.com audio posts by simply adding it to where I'd like it to be on the page.
* remove the 'edit primary link' from the top of my pages, and once I add informa's slide pictures in the 'edit secondary link' area at the top of the page, remove 'edit secondary link' too.
* can you have more than 1 blog on your sub-domain? If so, how can I add more blogs?
Guys, I'm not being modest: I've only been programming in HTML code for less than 6 months, and just started learning more about forms and PHP code. PLEASE, someone (anyone!), e-mail me something akin to a 'Drupal for Dummies' tutorial that very simply, VERY simply, shows me how to do the above!!!
Anyone that does, I'll get you a (virtual) beer online (if I can get a real one for ya, trust me, I would!)
Thanks in advance!

Descriptive subjects win the day
Hi Noel,
You'll get better help if you use the subject or title of your posts more efficiently =)
Let's go through your points:
create content -> page
That's included in the stylesheet for your theme. Now, I know that the arrow is part of the PushButton theme, but you should really tell us that so that we know what arrow you're talking about. Look for the style.css file in themes/pushbutton. You'll find the urls to all the background images there. You can just remove those lines (comment them out), or change them to be what you want.

As for accessing HTLPK/PHP code to your site, you can add HTML or PHP to any content type if you have the right permissions. I'm assuming you're the administrator to your site? Check the various input filters you have when creating content.
You've really got to try harder; all the info for how to post things is already written in the handbook:
http://drupal.org/node/6261
Those can both be toggled on your theme's settings (administer->themes)
Two ways you can approach this. Either you create more than one user and each user has his or her own blog, or you try making different categories and have each category listing be the separate blogs.

(I came up with a slightly better subject title; hopefully, more newbies will see this when they google on these points, and the search engine will find this very insightful bunch of posts.)
FIRST thing FIRST...
Hi shoklix2,
First thing first. As you said :"I am a COMPLETE drupal beginner, newbie ... I'm also a newbie at web publishing and want to know how to:"
1- Search the handbooks before you post.
You are a newbie, this means that you need to READ a lot before asking something that is probably already in the documentation (clic here). This doc is the "HOW-TO" to probably everything you need.
You want answers quickly without reading the books? Without knowing who does drupal works? (Witch will give you more possibilities by the way.) You think that there is too much stuff in there? It scares you? Well, thoses books where not written for nothing! So go with the flow and read them. Or, the section that might interest you.
You must be interested in Drupal to be interesting from the Drupal community and get a reply or help.
2- Search the forums before you post.
A lot of questions are answered in there.
Need to say more?
3- oh also...
A title "HELP NEED HELP!!!!!". You are not dying are you? Please use normal sentences or questions in the title. Thanks.
(This is only my opinion and does not reflect all the drupal community)
+1 for handbooks and searching forums
In searching drupal.org, you might want to try Google's domain search (see advanced search) with your search terms and limit it to drupal.org.
Beginners, newbies: Drupal handbooks, and other great tips
Again *feeling like an ostrich now*, but you guys are absolutely right. As cryptic as a lot (most?) of it is, you just gotta pour over the materials several times, like I'm sure most of us did. Thanks, alex!
(another title that will hopefully bring newbies to these posts when they google.)
:)
glad
Glad to show you the right direction.
