Issue Summary

Is there some relevant documentation that I can refer ? That an elementary question of this sort hasn't been asked probably indicates that this is straightforward, but I can't seem to figure it out.
I'm trying to set up a taxonomy fields. How do I?

I enabled taxonomy fields for both my content type and the vocab under question.

What do I do after that?
(I tried assigning + creating a new field (text / select boxes). But nothing seems to appear, except that a blank field appears. )
