How can i display the xml icon (for RSS feed) on my pages. I am using php theme engine.
I have this in my theme specific syle sheet
.xml-icon{
margin-bottom: 1.0em;
}
Do i have to write any oher code in theme template for xml icon to show up?
Please let me know.

Install and activate, if you have not already do so, the aggregator module.

In your admin/blocks enable and position the syndicate block.

Your xml icon should appear.

I don't understand why I need aggregator module for the xml rss icon to appear. I thought aggregator module is for aggregating xml feed from other sites into my site. What I want to show is that every article in my site can be fed to other site using RSS. Please let me know if my understanding is not right. thanks

Without the aggregator module installed - go into the admin/block page and enable the syndicate block.

I am in admin > blocks but i don't see anything labeled "syndicate". I am using phptheme box_gray.

I had done this months ago and all seemed to be working well, but lately it is not. When I click on the xml icon, I get

XML Parsing Error: xml declaration not at start of external entity
Location: http://www.itsyourtimes.com/?q=node/feed
Line Number 2, Column 1:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
^

instead of a feed. What might be causing this? How do I fix it?

What I want to show is that every article in my site can be fed to other site using RSS.

I have enabled admin > blocks > syndicate.

what else needs to be done to get the xml icon to show for the feed?

I searched the forum and couldn't find any answer.
