wayne57 commentedI would also like to see the default being a date picker. I have added a content type and it displays and works, but there is no way of removing the drop down lists so have two areas for selecting the event date! Confusing in the extreme, so had to remove the preferred date picker.
Could this be added to the next update as the module rocks, just needs some tweeks to make it invaluble.

stodge commentedHow do I use the date picker module with Events? I installed the required .js and .css files but it still forces me to use the standard entry fields.

The Select End Date link shouldn't be visible if the event doesn't have one.
