What about the ability to show maps with routes on them.
For example I have both location and date enabled nodes.
Is there any way to create a view that would show a set of nodes and draw a line from the first to the last chronologically?

Unfortunatelly 5.x-1.0 doesn't support this feature, but this is a very good idea, so I will add support very soon.

Came at this page after searching for just this: the ability the connect two (ore more) locations with a line. Any news on this?

Tha 6.2 map API supports it. You can find its settings under the Marker (overlay) settings at the map administration page.
