Ok, I made a patch for this.

At the same time I fixed a php notice that is visible on admin/build/simpleviews/add

And, I added title tags to the icons on the admin/build/simpleviews page. Icons seem great and these have alt text, but Firefox (by default..there are ways around it) doesn't display alt text on mouseover. I think mouseover is pretty important for icons since it won't always be obvious to people what icons mean (for example, people who live in countries that don't use trash cans or who have trash cans that look different may think that it is a mushroom and wonder what a mushroom has to do with a view).
