Issue Summary
I would be more than interested in maintaining this project. It will take me a little bit to get through the current issues as I have not been following this modules development. If anyone is interested in helping me revive this project, please post a summary of issues needing attention, information and history, known contacts, etc here.

Come Christmas break I may try to restart this project. If you want to jump start the process there are few things that you could do. Mainly fixing the reasons it was taken down in the first place. Also, which version of Drupal would you be targeting? There are a plenty of people still using 5.x and I prefer to stay up with the most recent version, currently 6.x hence EveryBlog 2.0 is targeted at 6.x. If you use 5.x I would gladdly turn over maitance of the older version to you as I find it a lot of extra work trying to keep two very different code bases the same. Though I have attempted to split things up in a way that makes it easier.

I am running all 6.6 bases so I would need to be working on that version as well. as far as the bug fixing goes, I would be more than happy to get down with the fixing. I consider it one of my specialties. Is there a short list of the issues, or maybe a good one to start with? also any recommendations on a windows program for making patches would be good, that would make it easier for you to implement the changes as far as i understand. i have a cvs account for another project I am working on as well, though i've never used cvs before and am still a little fresh on the subject. I would be happy to work on this project in any capacity. let me know.

Patch for windows: http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/packages/patch.htm and here is more info, perhaps: http://drupal.org/node/60108
Try looking into http://drupal.org/node/75242 for getting eclipse to work, it will be helpful for development. Eclipse can probably create and apply patches through its interface.

I would also be willing to help with the fixing. I am currently using 6.8.
thanks

does anyone know where these mysterious "security issues" are posted? i didn't see anything when i looked and as far as know, that is all that is keeping it down. i'd hate to have to crawl the whole system to find them.
also, thanks for the windows patch link, i'm using tortoise for CVS access right now which makes the whole create process a breeze, now can also apply in windows directly

When I posted in the web masters forum to try to get ownership (assuming that ntroutman was gone for good), they said I'd have to talk to the security team (which is different from the webmasters team). They don't post security issues publicly. Presumably, the security folks communicated them to ntroutman. They shouldn't be posted here, but hopefully they could be sent to a couple of us if we will be seriously working on fixing the issues.
I did look thru the code a couple of days ago, and saw a few things that raised red flags for me, but I have no idea if those are the things the security team was worried about. Also, if ntroutman is working on 2.0, should we try to rush out a fix for 1.x or help finish the new version? Do we know how close the new version is to testing and possible release?

I haven't disappeared just been very busy with my masters work. I believe most of the fixes can be done in a few hours if I buckle down. My motivation has waned slightly as Views can do everything Everblog does. Granted everyblog is a very targeted. I'm not sure when I'll get back to this project. It seems to be in high demand so maybe tomorrow I'll get the security holes patched. This would however mean the end of 5.x support as I would just fix everyblog 2.0.

Its been several months and I have never heard back from the security team so cannot update the modules.

can you attach them as a zip or something on this thread until someone answers you?
