I downloaded drupal cvs last night to play around with it and see whats coming and I noticed I am unable to save theme settings, global or specific to the theme.

Specifically, I am trying to modify the "Toggle display" settings. Unclicking Primary and Secondary links and clicking "User pictures in comments" then save shows it as changed. However, if I goto a different page then go back to that settings page it shows them as their defaults. Issue or am I missing something?

Per chx on IRC:

The version I downloaded contained an older system.module. He fixed this last night so if anyone reading this ran into it, use cvs checkout to get the latest and greatest which fixes this issue.

I just downloaded the CVS version from the "Download" link and the problem is still there.

Which files in the CVS repository should I download?

I would cvs co everything actually, the drupal-cvs tar I had downloaded had a timedate stamp of Oct 14 02:28

If the file you downloaded was different, then it's most likely fixed. I can't speak for the drupal people but it seems they auto-generate that zip every night or so automatically. So if the timedate stamp is newer, then this problem is at least fixed in it. However, I'm sure there are others (and know there is one related to themes + the default side blocks)
