For some reason the search button does nothing in the search block in Inernet Explorer. It works fine in Firefox, Safari but not IE?

Anyone had this problem previously?

I have this problem also.

In IE search block submits, but just refreshes the page.

Brain fart - I forgot to name the version. It's IE 6 that is causing the problem. (We've been having some CSS problems with IE in general, so I forgot that this was an IE 6 issue)

If you click on the box to enter text, the search button is immediately highlighted, no cursor appears in the box, no text can be written and clicking on the search button takes you to the search page with no search term having been entered.

It's not a problem with the block_search_form template, as the same problem occurs with the theme_search_form on the results page.

Tom I'm having a similar problem, using a zen subtheme. In IE7, 8, 9 in Windows 7 there doesn't seem to be a problem, in XP windows 8 and 7 there is - www.sanbi.org/search. How did you fix it?
