It would be nice to have an "RSVP BY" date & time, so people cannot change their answer after the event, or after tickets are bought or whatever.

By the way, there's a deadline in RSVP module 5.x which is the event deadline.

This sounds like a nice feature in the beginning but has some serious flaws.

Denying the modification of responses after the deadline is not a good idea.
-Someone might want to cancel
-rsvp owner might be interested in your reply even if it is after the deadline.

As a result, the best thing you can do is adding a message to your rsvp and check the result after the deadline.
