Shapes help - at a complete loss

I am working on a large gmap site for duck hunters and would like to be able to show boundaries for public and private hunting grounds.

I have been successful in creating various different node types and integrating locations with the nodes. But so far have not been able to figure out how I can go about adding shapes to the maps.

I am missing something somehwhere.
