Well it has now been 18 weeks 6 hours since I came across drupal and decided to give it a shot. As I said in a couple of my other posts I am what one would call "Coder impared" but I did stick with it. I do urge others that seem to find it daunting at first to:
1: Ask questions in the forums, and use google to search for drupal information.
2: Do not get frustrated. Been there done that, it does not help to give up.
3: Start out simple, A lesson hard learned for myself. I tried to run before I could even crawl. ( Big mistake)
As I am and was still a complete novice to this fire me some questions, if I can help with beginner stuff I will try.,

Well here is the site that I started 18 weeks 6 hours ago, www.iamapcgamer.com. Think the hardest part was the theme the rest makes sense if one reads the instructions.

And again I would like to thank all the forum users that helped with I was just starting out. Appreciate it folks.

Congrats on getting your site done-- i can still remember how great that first one feels.

And you're dead on with point #3-- i can't tell you how many posts i see where people new to drupal, php, mysql, html, & css ask 'how do i build a site like facebook?' That's tantamount to walking in to your local mechanic and asking him to tell you how to build a car, lol.

Hi WorldFallz

Thanks.

Well it all takes time, I must admit I was like that in the beginning wanted the best site ever. But over time it gets that way.

Now to figure out this embedded video issue.. IF it ain't one thing that needs tweaking it is another :)

Well I just cant seem to get the video to play, here is what I Have at the moment

The Clan
but nothing happens it just flashes a bit.

http://bench.dai-galean.org is the test site. it is the second story down. This is a bit beyond me now..

EDIT: Well after 2 nights of it not working and me posting this, I found the problem, Directory permissions of all the stupid things I miss.... But maybe I can ask what solution did you come up with. I find that typing in the url and ftping the vids up a bit slow...

I dont know that my solution would be any faster. I created a content type called "video", added a filefield to upload and hold the video file, an imagefield for a screencap (for use with imagecache and teasers), and themed the flowplayer.org player right into the node-video-tpl.php file.

However, lately I've been looking at the new versions of the swftools and flashnode (as well as flashfield) modules-- they look very promising and have the added advantage of handling mp3s with the 1pixelout player as well.
