Hi,
I have Drupal 6.6, and ACL 6.x-1.0-beta2, Content Access 6.x-1.0-beta1 and Forum Access 6.x-1.0-beta1.
Is it possible that Content Access irrevocably broke my site? Perhaps I am using it wrong.
Here's what I did:
1. I installed the modules in the modules directory.
2. Activated the modules for my site
3. Rebuilt the permissions
4. Everything was still working
5. Created a new content type (Restricted Content), not visible to anonymous users
6. Decided that I would instead allow per-node access to my Story content, so deleted the content type Restricted Content before any content of that type was built.
7. Went to my Story content type and activated "per node access".
8. Everything disappeared (both for anonymous users and the superadmin): all my front page items, all my taxonomy lists. Going to specific nodes (for example ...node/70) still worked, though.
9. Disactivated ACL, Content Access and Forum Access
10. Physically removed them from the modules directory.
11. Rebuilt permissions
12. Still, nothing appears.
13. Created a new content on the front page, "please be patient while the site is being updated", which appears.
14. Clicked on a content which is supposed to be promoted to front page, saved it (the promoted to front page box is clicked). It still does not appear.
15. Now in the process of restoring my entire site and database from a backup.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Albert.
PS here are all my active modules:
Action email role 6.x-1.0-beta1
Administration Menu 6.x-1.1
Some core stuf (not Book, though)

alberto56 commentedHi again,
I traced the problem and it is not Content Access which is to blame. Turns out another of my modules was making my content disappear when I changed the language. Sorry! And thanks for the module.
Albert.
