The other solr project http://drupal.org/project/solr is the one that google returns when searching for "Drupal solr". I was confused for a few seconds as I didn't see any 6.x version and a dev 5.x. It took me a few more clicks to find the apachesolr project which Robert raves so much about. You should contact the maintainer of the other solr project and advertise on the project page that apachesolr is the maintained solr project. How do they differ by the way? If they are the same then they should be merged.

There has been some discussion there between Robert and the maintainer, but I believe he/she has choosen to keep it separate. It would be great if you posted an issue to the solr projects queue about it.
