Publish Date of a node

Hi all
I dont know if I am being too dumb or what, but how can I get the node Publish date. I do not want the node "changed date" (a node can be change after it has been published) I need the date on which the node was published. Is it stored somewhere in the DB??
(I am using scheduler to publish my nodes, but it deletes the record from the scheduler table after publishing)

I don't believe the published date is stored-- unless the schedule module does something like that. See this thread for something similar. Though it's an old thread, actions (now part of core) and workflow are both available for d6.
