Please forgive me in advance, I hope this is the right path. I would like to help with documentation particularly on module making. English is my second language and I may be able to give insight on how to say things to the reader without overloading too much information.

I looked at the module making page of drupal 6 and I think I can contribute targeting readers with a lower level of Drupal skillset

Hi reginr, feel free to jump in and start editing. You can edit most pages in the handbook and you can create new pages. We prefer to edit existing documentation to make it better. If you aren't sure about your edits you can always post an issue to ask for review/advice.
