Can you tell me if your theme validates according to:
* WCAG 1.0 Priority 1
* XHTML 1.0 Strict

Also, info on Section 508 compliance would also be useful.

I haven't found an easy way to scan through those themes which comply.

xhtml strict but doesn't validate css. Would be good to document the accessibility of this theme in the description.

Its CSS does, in fact, validate, at CSS Level 3. Full accessibility and 508 compliance can only be partially provided through a theme, but I'll be seeing what I can do.

Based on information from webaim.org, for the next version I have the following ideas so far:

  • make "Read More" links unique
  • add "Skip Navigation" link
  • make links more visually apparent
  • widen search fields to 25 characters or more
  • add link cue images
  • add hidden "you are here" to breadcrumb line
