I've installed CCK on my site, added all the CCK modules and set permission for Administrator.

But when I go to edit content type there is no tab for "Add field". The "Manage Fields" and the "Display Fields" tab are there...

I am totally lost, any ideas?

The options to add fields/groups is now (D6) in the "Manage fields" tab, just below the table that lists the fields already in the content type.

Oh, ok thanx... *embarrased*

But new problem arrived.
When I try to add new field (or group) I get this error message:

"Add new field: you need to provide a label."

How do I provide a label???

I've innstalled Advanced Help Module now, and I see that I'm actually missing the "Label" input field...?

See attached screenshot...

Strange. Could you try switching to garland theme, see if the problem persists ?

I'm having the same problem, and i'm working with the garland theme

Do you guys have the devel themer module switched on ? If so, switch it off - devel themer shouldn't be left on permanently, but only when you need it and switched off when you don't.

Nope devel themer is't switched on here.
But because it was urgent i installed a previous version. I'll switch it back later.

the deal is the full module with all it's elements was not shown at modules section, just the name 'CCK' and a single check box

I had this problem. I had enabled the 'content' module, but none of the content field types (ie text, number). So of course I went to add fields and CCK didn't know how. In my case, chalk this up to a user thinking he was too experienced to bother with the README.txt.

Old report, no response to the original question, and lots of pile on questions without enough info to do anything with them.
