I want to change the background color, font-size and font-family for the menu items. I know exactly where in the css files to do it, and have even been able to do it in Firebug. But when I make the changes it simply doesn't work. It's as if the changes aren't "taking"-they are there in the code, but not in the display-but Firebug sees the old code, so it's not being rendered. This happens in both the black and blue and the original. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

vfama1 commentedI figured it out. Was editing the wrong .css file.

Stomper commentedWhich .css file needs to be modified?

AlexisWilke commentedI would imagine they talk about the simplemenu/themes/original/original.css
This is assuming you did not change the theme selection in the settings.
Also, I strongly advice that you create your own theme (i.e. copy the orignal folder and change the copy so if you make upgrades of the module, your theme will survive.)
Thank you.

Stomper commentedFeature request*
Would it be possible to add a "background" and "text color" field when "custom" is selected as the "theme" so that instead having to modify a css file, one only has to add the hex code. For more exotic changes, modification of the css file is okay.
Is this Possible?

AlexisWilke commentedStomper,
It would be possible. Yes. But I don't have the time to add that. If you or someone can offer a patch, I'll look into it.
Thank you.

Stomper commentedSounds good, I hope someone can do it as I have no PHP background.
