After installing Weight module all new nodes are sticky.

Please check and see if the workflow options for the content types are set this way.

My workflow options are NOT set to have the content type I'm using Weight with set to sticky, but I can confirm that this is happening to all new nodes of that type that are created.

My guess is a bug in the module that is setting these. I say bug because it really should be left up to the workflow options.

Looking into this today and will supply a patch once found. (6.x-dev)

You're correct, it should be the workflow options. This is not happening to me. Please try the -dev version.
