I'm getting the message: Depends on: Array (missing)
on a number of modules in a Drupal 6 install. In doing research it looks like it may have something to do with the Views module but I've reinstalled Views (6.x-2.1) and CCK (6.x-2.1) a number of times now without correcting the issue.

Any help or information would be appreciated.

What are the modules that display this message? What is the contents of their .info file (that's where the dependency is created)?

It is really unhelpful that you haven't posted your solution; this is a community - you benefit from Drupal - how about giving something back and participating? Of course, no-one is forcing you but there are clearly people here who have a similar problem to you and could be helped if you would only spare 5 minutes of your time.

Hello,

I have the same problem........ both with install of module gmap and views I come up against the same problem. In the module installation page I get the message "depends on module array missing".

The problem is there is no array module!

Please help!

What is the solution?

I'm afraid it's pretty bad form when someone asks for assistance and then fails to show anyone his solution.

Indeed I had the same problem and I uncovered this same thread hoping for a solution.

In my case I was encountering this error because I had mistakenly installed Drupal 5.3 rather than Drupal 6 as I thought. As such, all the modules I was using were for the wrong version.

Find out which version you have under Admin->Reports->Status Reports.

Im trying to install the hierarchical select module and Im using Drupal 6 but im still getting the same error 'Array(missing)' any suggestions.

jdhoss, you came to this forum with a problem and seeking solution, but when u finally got the solution, you disappeared.

All efforts by members to get you share how you resolved the proved abortive. You got drupal free, and Drupal is a child of other peoples' efforts. Do a rethink and do the right thing.
