Birthday only works correctly for administrator

Birthdays works perfectly for the administrator but for other users the word "Array" appears at the end of the profile page, the combo boxes are stacked instead of inline, and the date entered for the user does not appear. If the non-administrator tries to st the date, the date gets erased.
