In the process of backporting the D5 version it looks like the D6 info file got re-written to use D5 values.

Have you checked out HEAD or the DRUPAL-6--1 branch? HEAD does have the D5 info in it from which I made the D5 branch (after D6 had been branched off). I'll merge back next time I sorting it, for now let me know if you see the D6 branch is broken, but seems ok here.
