Hi guys. I still need some help. Please refer to this post: http://drupal.org/node/343579 in order to fully understand.
I basically want to create a page with a primary link where I can post articles to. Only this page contains these articles, they are not visible on the front page.
I tried to follow the advice given but was unsuccessful.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

in future try to avoid creating a new topic with the same exact question. Continuing to add to the original topic is much better for the community at large. Especially new comers who may seek the same advice and now have to read two topics.
If you are still having trouble, simply add a comment to your original post which will bump it back up to the top of the forums and also allow nevets to continue to help without having to watch 2 separate but same threads.
