I use this module a lot and really like it. But I just noticed that the 6.x-1.x version is from May 2008, and there are a lot of open issues. What is the status of this, is somebody still working on this module? If not, what would be the process to find it a good new home? It would be a shame for such a useful module to be abandoned.

Me too. This is a great module that I'm not qualified to maintain.

And the 6.x-1-dev version has 1,435 users, which is more than a minor module, even though it's in dev.

Is there movement towards a stable release?

I'd like to help maintain or co-maintain this module since I use this module often and I find it useful. I'm the current maintainer of several modules and you can check out my work in those. As for what I'd like to accomplish, I'd keep the issue queue up to date and make sure that SimpleTests are added. Since I'm pretty active about following D7 progress and the issue queues, I'd have an advantage for helping port modules to D7 when that time comes as well.

I contacted both jjeff or HorsePunchKid via their contact forms on Jan 16th about adding me as a co-maintainer. I haven't heard anything back from either of them. I'd really like to help.

I just added Dave Reid as he is a frequent core contributor. This module could use his energy. Lets try to issue a release candidate or full release very quickly.
