eLinks module for Drupal 6

Hi all:

We are in process of migrating the old PostNuke CMS of our site to Drupal 6, but we have a problem. Our site is dedicated to P2P sharing, specifically the ED2K Network and currently we are using a module to manage eLinks for PostNuke, dpElinks developed by the Dev-PostNuke Team, you know, eMule/eDonkey links for Peer to Peer sharing, and we have not found an alternative to this module for Drupal... We have only found a BitTorrent module for managing T-Links and trackers I think and this module is suitable for Drupal 5, not 6.

Is there any possibility to develop an eLinks add-on for Drupal 6 to manage these links like dpElinks? Here you have a short description of the spanish module dpElinks translated to english.

Anyone is interested on developing this module? If not, can anyone give me the basic idea in order to build it? I have no created/modified any Drupal module before, but I know a bit of PHP and a bit of the SMARTY template engine too. May the BitTorrent module be adapted in order to work with eLinks instead BitTorrent links?
