Here's the issue: Let's say I use a RSS feed for my YouTube Favorites or Playlist items. Videos I favorite or add to a playlist on YouTube will now show up on my Activity Stream upon Cron run. However, the dates of these stream items will be the date these videos were uploaded on YouTube - and if the videos were uploaded a long time ago, they would not show up in the latest stream updates. (i.e. the video was from 2005 so it'll be a 2005 stream item and will not get displayed in the latest stream item)

Here's the solution: A date option for each stream that tells the module whether to use the date/time provided in the RSS Feed or the date/time of feed item import. Any other ideas to address this issue is appreciated.

Why not one or the other: Because both options makes sense for some feeds and not others. Also, there's user preference.

The intent of the module is to show the activity a user takes in the order they take it. A lifestream of the user's activities around the web. Mucking with dates that actions happen is counter to that goal.
