I am running Drupal 6.6 and OG User Roles 6.x.1.0. I have applied the Drupal 6 user.module patch. I have turned on the Clear Cache setting. I am still having the following problem:

Created a role called blog author. Gave it rights to create blogs. Created a user called sally. Gave her membership in two OG's. Gave her blog author rights in one group using Configure Member Roles. When she logs in, at the sitewide level she has no content creation rights or menu. Same for the group where she's not a blog author. In the group where she is a blog author, Create Content menu shows up but leads to Access Denied.

I have read all the issues on this topic I could find, and tried everything I could think of. The only non-core modules I'm using are Views, OG, OG User Roles, and OG Views Integration. What am I missing?

Does OGUR respect any group role (assigned using "Configure member roles") that you assign?

Yes. I can successfully grant a user access to a news feed within a group using OGUR. But granting them rights to create any type of content causes the Create Content link to show up in the right place but leads to Access Denied.

I turned on OGUR debugging, created a new user called harry, gave him blog author privileges in OG One, then logged in as him and tried to create content in OG One. Output from og_user_test is below:

In the future, you may wish to provide detail info such as the username of the user we need to track, the url where we are having the problem, and what role(s) the user should have. Also, if you're going to post log information, you should only post the information relevant to your problem.

The first thing I did was search for ognodeadd, which is the function OGUR uses to create the group level "Create content" menu and to add nodes. It is not present at all in your output.

Installation of OGUR automatically changes the "create" links in the group menu to ognodeadd links. And, even if it didn't, you are clearly not using the "create" links from the group menu because they would return a group context on "node/add".

Also, from the OGUR project page:

This module requires the base url of your site not consist of subdirectories. (i.e., your base site url must be "www.yoursite.com" and not "www.yoursite.com/subdirectory"). See: http://drupal.org/node/155882

So, in summary, I don't know what you are doing, but whatever you are doing, it is out of group context, and OGUR only works within group context. Furthermore, OGUR does NOT support site installs which use subdirectories.

Apologies if I broke protocol. I didn't know what you needed, so I tried to be complete with my SQL dump. For what it's worth, when I turned on a block for group details, that block shows the right content creation links based on user/group role, and properly links to ognodeadd, so I got something at least partly right :-). Appreciate your patience and help.
