A "nice to have" feature would be a way to customize the url under the cover art and book title. Right now it links to the listing in OpenLibrary, which is fine if there is data on the book there, but in most cases I would rather link to the book on a book seller site like Amazon.

To support Amazon, you would need a developer's key and implement signed requests to Amazon. It's probably doable but I can see more complex than some other implementations.

Another option is the Amazon Module that provides a filter for putting Amazon data into content.
