I've updated and attached the code to work with Drupal 6.x. I'm not sure about the proper process to get this reviewed/committed but I wanted to post it for others to use. I haven't had any issues with it yet but this is an unofficial release and it should be used at your own risk until it has a chance to be reviewed.

Hey, thanks for this! I reviewed it, fixed a few things and also added support for the tabs of the user edit page as now that's possible on D6.

I have released D6 version 1.0, please try it out and submit any issues with it.
